Go to Post I don't think that FIRST is going to get better with a top down solution alone, it is going to take a grass roots effort to strengthen teams. That starts by teams getting off their "islands", self imposed or otherwise. - Fe_Will [more]

Yeah - here's the agenda; elimination rounds don't start until 4:15

http://www.team-emoticons.com/2004%2...o%20Agenda.htm

Any word on whether 233 or 267 (Demolition Squad - listed as Rampage Robotics so either the team name or number is wrong) are coming? The Registration page shows "maybe".

The numbers are correct. Thanks for catching that. I'll notify the proper authorities. =-]

Last thing I heard was yes for 233, but probably not for 267. If Andrew or Nathan knows more, I'm sure they'll correct me. =-]

I wish we could go to the Robot Rodeo...but, obviously, living in Indiana doesn't make it possible for us to attend this year. Maybe next year Baker can get all of us T-Kat's out of school and we can fly down and compete in it. HAHA In my dreams. I wish everybody luck thats going though, and most of all everyone going have fun!

Re: 2004 Robot Rodeo

I have a request/suggestion for Robot Rodeo if the coordinators / participants are in favor of it:

We use this event as a chance for our rookies to get a taste of competition and to give everyone who wants it a chance to be on stage if possible. They will show up on saturday familiar with the rules (hopefully) but with no shooting or driving experience. I would like to ask if we can increase the number of people on stage for this event, maybe from 4 to 6. My desire is to have last year's drivers, operators and human players be additional coaches, who can tell them or show them what to do if they get into trouble. Is that OK?

I think this is a great idea, except for the elmination rounds. How does that sound?

Sorry to hear you guys are not going to be there. We did not go last year because we had a massive golf tournament fundraiser going that very same day. Ironically some team-members (I dunno how many) will be going this year, and we also have the golf tournament this saturday as well; the rest of the team will be doing that.

We plan on allowing some of the potential drivers for 2005 to compete at Robot Rodeo.

I just wanted to make sure that you were still planning on the toy drive, and I'll spread the word to my team. I think the toy collection is a great idea, and I'm sure S.P.A.M. would love to help out. Thank you.

Re: 2004 Robot Rodeo

im sorry but i have to pick obn this page http://www.team-emoticons.com/registration.asp demolition squad is spelled "Squade" and it says We Are from palm beach gardens. Tho some of our team lives in gardens, Both are schools are in riveria beach. And also the teams seem to be in no order Whatsoever. and on top of that its not in cells so you cant coppy paste it into excell and rearange it without actually entering everything yourself. Just saying, no big deal i guess.
