money help

ok you don't have alot of time to raise money. this is our fundraising idea that helped us pay for our regionals. we had no money and fundraised it all. most of it was done by putting flyers around the city asking people to put out bottles and cans. we did this at 2 citys because our school has two schools for our district. mind you our main city for our district is 2 miles by 2 miles. in 3 saturdays we made over $4,000 i swear. it really worked. we took the bottles and cans in 2 full vans each time to a meijer's and they gave it all to us. it's a sticky job but it pays off.good luck and keep me posted!!!

It is an almost guarentee if we go with out our sponsor they will pull out of the robotics and not be able to have them next year. I personally do not want to do that. I'm a junior, who has next year to go but its not the point I want to see what we can do. So it comes down to the orginal plan, and that is get the super to say and sign yes. His information I believe can be accessed off of www.quincypublicschools.com

CMC is gone on a vacation so me and some of my team mates will keep you all updated. Friday is basically our last day of taking to them on the job. We can talk to them at their house, but we are crossing the line somewhere, and we want to be professionals.

Thanks for all the support!

Exclamation HYPER'S LAST CALL

Hello every one,

There have been many things that have happended today!

The result ends in the fact that we cant go to Nationals, (Bar any GOD like actions)

I thank you greatly!!! for all of your suport and I wish every team at the Natioanl Comp the best of luck!

For myself, as a senior this proccess has been an eye opener for the political proccess!

As a member of team HYPER i dont agree with the outcome but I very proud of my TEAM! We almost pulled off the impossible! We took on the city (and lost) but won the publics oppion!

We also WON the UTC New England Regional for the 2nd year in a row!

Thank you again, for every letter every signature, it means a lot! If anything this proccess has shown me that FIRST is a great organization full of wonderful teams and GREAT members! You guys have taught me a lot and I also thank you for that!!!!!

Again I wish you all the best of LUCK

And PS: to the members of my team that feal that i have "layed down and died", I havent I have only followed the wishes of our sponsor! I fully support this team but I know when to call it quits! I hope you understand and dont "blow us over the microscopic line that we walk on". For those of you who insist on continuing without concent I wish you the best of luck but I also hope that you take first's message and use Gracious Professionalism!

Thank you gain (and sorry for the type o's It's really late)

There will be one last push to the superintendent today. It is our last hope. Not to say anything bad about our "leader" but the fight is not over yet. Today is the last day for action. Its not over. Maybe its over for CMC cause hes on vacation but there are a lot of other leaders and many people and parents willing to listen and do what they can.

Keep you all in touch

Unlike CMC,I'm not going to have any typing mistakes. Let me just say that my name is Brian Collins/"BEEF"/Collins in drag/the best %%%% human player/team Goof/team proclaimed leader unlike CMC who is self proclaimed!!! Let me first just say that yes it is sad and unfortunate that my team will not be able to attend the nationals to show our robot and all of our skills. Also like Pappy said, We still have not given up" until we get into trouble. "gracious perfessionalism." CMC, you say that you feel like you have layed down and died, well i'm sorry, because you're like my brother but, if you're laying there I truely feel like kicking you... What were your imfamous words? " Patience, and Persistance" well, we're still being persistant! and we will not lay down like you. Please don't get mad but, I'm writing this as a reminder of what you can do with some help. Do you remember in Conn., when we were in the room talking about what were some of our faults? Well one of your faults is that you will not listen rationally to other people's opinions, and sometimes you bite the hand which feeds you. Seriously, sometimes you just have to take a step back and let someone (maybe not more experienced) but, more willing and able to do a job, do it. That's one of the most important qualities of a leader... To know when to step back, and just simply follow. Sometimes it is good to have more than one leader, because if one falls the other one is there to help pick him or her up.... If you are offended then I am sorry but, those are my honest opinions.

BEEF/ BRIAN

You was "truely" Wronged

Dear Brian and Pappy,

Although I do understand everyone has there right to there opinion, you must understand the possible negative aspect that could come from us continuing to aggravate our superintendent. He is the person that must sign off on our trips and plans, therefore if we were to proceed on pestering out city officials we would not get into trouble personally, but we would lose all our abilities as a team to do anything. That being said, may I address the validity of context in your post. No one at North ever remembers appointing you the title of team leader, nor did we opt to “lay down and die.” We only backed off when our team sponsor requested us to, so you see that we did listen to the requests of others…we listened to the money. You have to take a step back and see the bigger picture, just like you said yourself, you have to see, if we didn’t stop, there wouldn’t be a team to fight for. Sometimes for the greater good, one must sacrifice their own needs and wants, that’s exactly what we did, we sacrificed our last chance to go to Florida with the team, so that you will be able to still go next year.

Teams faithful servant,
Marc Griffin

P.S.: You did have spelling mistakes. You misspelled “truely” (truly) and “imfamous” (infamous)

Hey guys? I know none of you probably want to listen to me at all, and it's been two years since I've had anything to do with my alma mater team (particulary now after my move)... buuuut... it's also not doing great things to image to squabble about silly things on the forum (like who is and is not leader etc....), don't you think?

I am also surprised that Gillette said they would pull out without Creedon's support. But in anycase, I side with the team - and believe that the school board overstepped their boundaries on this - and had I been to the forums and seen this before the Championship, I would have offered to sign.
