**FIRST EMAIL**/Second Event Registration Reminder and Wait List Information

Greetings Teams:

Please remember that second event registration will open tomorrow at 12:00 noon EDT!

With this opening, many of you will find yourselves on a wait list or wanting to be on a wait list for an event. Please read the following explanation on how the wait lists work.
At every event FIRST reserves some slots for late registering rookie teams. Once registration closes on December 3rd, these rookie teams will get moved into the slots. If there are any slots left, remaining wait-listed teams will be moved in until the slots are filled.
Once a team has signed up for the maximum number of regionals for a particular registration period (e.g., currently one regional per team) they cannot join a wait list.
For each event weekend a team can only register/wait list for one event (i.e., a team cannot be registered/wait listed for two (2) events occurring on the same weekend.)
If a team wishes to drop from a wait list or an event, the main contact needs to send a request to frcteams@usfirst.org including team number and the wait list/event to be dropped (please also indicate why your team wants to be dropped.)
FIRST does not issue the wait lists. Teams attending any given regional can change at the last moment as they determine their final finances, so the number of places available can also change. It is also unknown how many late registering rookies there will be. We do not want teams making definite plans based on their place on a wait list when information may be changing.
We hope this helps you understand our wait list process. Please bear in mind that teams do drop out of events for various reasons, and many times a team is able to get into the wait-listed event of their choice.

Thank you all for your patience and Gracious Professionalism during this phase of the registration process.

Go Teams!
