Re: Football Predicts the Election

Although I've been a lifelong Vikings fan, one Packers win is not nearly as bad as 4 more years of Bush. The desicion is simple for me:

Go Pack Go!
Go Johnny (2x) Go!

Now I just need Wisconsin and my home state of Minnesota to stay blue for the election. (Along with the other swing states, ya know...Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, etc).

Re: Football Predicts the Election

for anyone who didn't see...it was a close game at the end...with about 3:00-4:00 left in the game (skins down 20-7), the redskins intercepted a pass, and scored a touchdown quickly. On the first or second play for the packers, the skins once again picked up an interception. The redskins had a beautiful play to score a touchdown (tying it up at 20, extra point would put skins at 21)...but a penalty at the line of scrimmage called it back and on the next play, the packers intercepted the ball and ended up getting another touchdown. After the fact, the commentators were reviewing the penalty and decided the skins should have had that touchdown. And there is no knowing that the packers would have scored again if the penalty hadn't been called.

So basically what your saying is that Bush will be screwed out of the presidency like the Redskins were screwed today.

You know, if the game would have ended in a tie today (Tie game at the end of the 15 minute overtime period) that would mean that Ralph Nader is the presumed winner!!!

And then hell would freeze over, Bin Ladin would turn himself over, and Microsoft will actually make a good software product.

Not the way it works. The tie would be decided in the House of Representitives, assuming the courts opted out of it.

So, the officals selected the winners? Deja Vu all over again.
