As Chair of the Waterloo Regional, I'd like to invite FIRST teams to come up and support our rookie event next March 24-26!
Ours will be a small regional with lots of play; we already have some of the best Canadian teams registered (188, 1114, 1241 to name a few), along with new rookie teams. We could use some strong veteran US teams to join 1188 in helping to teach our rookies Gracious Professionalism. Waterloo is only 3-4 hours from Detroit, 1-2 hours from Buffalo. If you're still debating your second regional, or are in a position to do more than two, I'd love to hear from you to see what we can do about getting you up to our event. If you're already registered for the GTR on April 1/2, why not make a week of it and visit Toronto while you're up here! And, as others have mentioned on CD elsewhere, customs is really a non-issue if you know how to prepare. Team 48, for example, has years of experience at coming up to our Canadian events. I look forward to seeing you at an event this season, be it the Greater Toronto Regional, the new Waterloo Regional, or the Championship!
