How do you drive the KOP 6" wheels?

It seems to me that the wheel wedges do the same thing as the wheel hub on firstcadlibrary.com but the hub includes an extra 1/4" - 1/2" plate to mount things to.

The wedges (and the cutouts on the hub) fit in the spaces between the "spokes" on the wheel. All it does is make a flat surface to mount the wheel to a base or, a sprocket.

See picture here. This one uses the wheel hub (with the sprocket on the opposite side mounted on the open part of the hub). Open part of the hub meaning the side without the flat surface. In this case, the flat surface sits flush to the spoke and the sprocket is mounted on the opposite side.

ok, so basically the wheel is driven by the spokes since it is pushed byt the hub that goes inside the wheel? do i get it right?

On SwampThing we used .5" shaft with the 6" wheels we turned delrin adapters for them and used spring pins. However in finals at UCF a pin sheared and Pretty much crippled it for a match. had it not failed we would have won that match and possibly the regional. The problem was fixed on the fly By James Jones of 180 by drilling a hole through it all and then using the drill bit he drilled it with it to hammer into the hole he made as a codder pin. As for the 6" wheels they are excellent wheels especially after they have been used for a while then they have a flat tread and are in their prime. they aren't very great for traction but that is perfect for 4 wheel drive. we were second seed at UCF and undefeated Winners of the Robot rodeo.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I did mean Delrin. Elgin is also right on with the wedges. I was looking at some pictures of our robot from last year and we made our wedges out of aluminum. http://www.team340.com/gallery/robot/113_1374?full=1
We also added a little something to the tread of the wheels to help them stick. We turned the rubber down to a flat surface and put on a little traction. Something we had left over from our 2003 wheels. It worked great. We didn't spend much time on the carpet so turning wasn't an issue. When we did test the traction on the carpet she didn't turn as easy as our past 4 wheel robots.
