umm i'll choose NYC only because its right here in my back yard; don't listen to Rich the only thing exciting in NYC is the tourist attractions across the 5 boroughsh & the only thing thats real exciting is going to times sqare or go to astroland / the aquarium which tends to be seasonal =(

i'd rather go to virginia =) rich is gonna hate me for this one =p

I agree here. The NASA/VCU Regional is way more organized, the venue is a lot nicer, more teams = greater variety of robots, and the people and teams down there are just awesome. We've gone down for the past two years and have loved it. Recommendations to the London team, tell them to go seek out 384 and 388. They're great teams that are always willing to help and tell them there buddies from New York wish they could make it down this year but we got locked out.

Nah, I'm not confused. Easy there killer. i posted hoping that the new london team going to virigina reads that. I know you guys pretty 759 across the pond pretty well and we are big fans of your team. We've gone head to head a couple times here at NYC, including NYC Finals '04. Hmm don't start a discussion on who the pius princesses are with, cause you'll have guys from several teams arguing over that. Just a note, the Pius Princesses are taking a leave of absence for the '05 competition season due to some issues that need to be resolved within the school. Team 395, 2Trainrobotics is going to be at NYC and Pittsburg.

Oh! That's too bad.... they are NYC's only all girl FIRST Team.

BTW- I love Virginia.... really! (vacationed there 2 years in a roll)

I know we'll will all miss them; we're going to work to make sure they come back the following year. In the meantime NYC's second all girls team, Brearly High School, team 1594 will be making it's debut in the '05 season. Be sure to keep an eye out for them at the NYC Regional! Rich, you're one of the most phenomenal volunteers here in New York. You're an inspiration to us all. Keep up the good work.

Great! The NYCFIRST family welcomes Team 1594, I hope they are attending the NYC FIRST Technology Workshop (using the Robovation Kits).
The workshops will be held at Polytechnic University starting this weekend, Nov. 6 and will continue on Nov. 12, Nov. 20, and Dec. 4. Don't forget to register with the Regional Director Ana or Randy.

It is always good to see the schools you never hear about come into the family of FIRST espicially the schools in which are single sex enviroments ( all girls or boys schools )

Speaking of thye NYC regional. I'm hoping to go over to NY for at least Saturday and volunteer again. I had so much fun there this past year, and made so many new friends. And this time, I may bring some more people to volunteer with me.

Like Elgin said, I'm going to try and get up there. Even if it means walking from the subway station through the park to the venue. It was really neat to get to see more east coast teams, and I had fun volunteering. Of course, the fact that about 15 CD members were there made things a lot more interesting.

A bit off-topic here, but did anyone else (besides Rich Wong & myself) recognize Riverbank State Park on The Apprentice last night?

I was cleaning my room and had it on in the background, and all of a sudden I turned around and could recognize where they were. Seeing as though next week is the finale, this was a two-part episode and they'll be at Riverbank again next Thursday.
