I sincerely don't understand how they expect their tactics to work. For me, it makes me want to not use P2P networks but more importantly I also refuse to buy a CD just to try it. Therefore, I'm stuck with the same bands I used to like. I'm not some bubbly headed pop idiot so I can't listen to the radio. Therefore, I'm stuck in a cycle where my purchasing will gradually decline until I don't add another cent into the RIAA's coffers. |

Re: 0 [to] 6952
You know, USC had a question on legitimate music sites on the housing survey. I said I'd be for paying a bit more for the legit stuff--but only iTunes. (It's an iPod thing--what can I say?)
I say let them sue. Everything works out in the end, so we'll either be facing the re-pwnage of the industry by the major labels, or we'll have a revolt and everything will be shaken up. (Personally, especially after this past semester at WUSC, I'm all for extra variety.) |
