My "ride" is a 1989 Toyota Camry LE V6.
Pretty cool 'cept for the fact that it:
BTW did I forget to mention that it only has a mere 250,000 miles on it. |

Re: What kind of car do you drive??
I can't drive without a parent until February so, until then, I drive my dad's 2003 Grand Prix GT or my mom's 2003 Chrysler Town and Country. HAHA I personally like the GP for obvious reasons!

Re: What kind of car do you drive??
1987 Ford F-150 XL Regular Cab 351 Windsor V-8 4bbl. C6 3 speed auto. Edelbrock carb & performer manifold. 4x4, manual lockers, Borg/Warner 1345 x-fer case...NO Emissions junk whatsoever...runs better and cleaner w/ out it...don't ask how, it just does...
Body stinks....can we say time for patch panels...I must say that bench seat is pretty comfy...Hey this truck was free...I can't complain..... soon to have... 2" rough country lift kit 31's or 33's on American racing rims still working out the sound system... MSD Ignition Flowmaster 50 series Dual Exhaust...THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD!!!! or maybe some cherry bombs.... HUGE POLARIS SNOWMOBILE STICKER for the rear window....along with an ac/dc stickah, Crotched Mountain Ski Area SKI THE CROTCH!! sitcker ![]() My friend always wanted a crown vic with the Police Interceptor....Isn't the interceptor a 302 (5.0 for all you other people)? or is it the 5.8 (351)? I also don't have a governor....no computer+carburetor=fast...and lots o'torque...and fun...and easy to work on.. I want a 1944 Ford GPW jeep...again...IE: WWII Willys jeep built by ford to keep up production for the war effort...4cyl. 134cid Flathead 4, 3 speed manual 4x4 (duh.....) had one but it kinda fell apart..sold it to a jeep restorer I know... Other differences lay mostly in suspension, the electrical system and a relocated spare (under the trunk instead of in it). Oh, and the nifty spot light that you can play with- Just don't let a cop see it on! -Andy A. |

Re: What kind of car do you drive??
People, people, people...
![]() The police package for the Caprice Classic had the LS1 in it (Old-RWD Caprice), 5.7 (350) Corvette engine in it. Now they use the 3.8 V-6 (NON-Supercharged) and FWD (Looked down on very much) Impala. Usually they use these vehicles for inner city patrols and not for chases. (Very heavy car. 0-60 in about 9 seconds) The police package for the Crown Vic has the 4.6 - just slightly modified, The older ones used 5.0 High output - and even older ones used a 5.8 2bbl carb (Old-school). Pretty plain and simple. Cop's like the RWD and the Crown Vic has been around since the dawn of the Earth - and Ford prices them just right so they stick with them. They even have good power (even for the heavy Crown Vic body) Now Chrysler (even though that I am a HUGE Mopar fan) has been a joke on their part for cop-car packages and that is why you don't see many cars for them. But hopefully that'll change with the magnum... ![]() Hope this helps out a little bit!! ![]() Also - about the blowing engines part - I have never seen/heard of that. Cops blow the suspension apart due to how hard they are on it but the 350's/LS1's are a VERY STRONG MOTOR. (And they all have to have goveners on the RPM side. If you don't you can revv the engine in neutral until it blows (under 20 seconds) - but don't get this confused with a Speed govner. You can go as fast as the engine can get you until the friction of the wind stops you! )Last edited by Matt Attallah : 10-12-2004 at 21:12. |
