Re: The 12 Days of FIRSTmas... (2004 Edition)

Well, I live by the beaches, so a surfboard actually makes sense to some FIRSTers. However, for the land-locked:

On the fourth day of FIRSTmas my true love gave to me: four wheel drive,
three robots,
two chin-up bars,
and a toroid on a spinning tree...

Re: The 12 Days of FIRSTmas... (2004 Edition)

And twelve hours later than this should be, the commonly screamed adage on the last day of build (and if your true love is building robots, this makes perfect sense):

On the fifth day of FIRSTmas my true love gave to me: fiiiiiiivvvvveee hours leeeeeeefffffttt!!!!!!!!!!
four wheel drive,
three robots,
two chin-up bars,
and a toroid on a spinning tree...

Re: The 12 Days of FIRSTmas... (2004 Edition)

On the sixth day of FIRSTmas my true love gave to me: six sacks of kit'parts,
fiiiiiiivvvvveee hours leeeeeeefffffttt!!!!!!!!!!
four wheel drive,
three robots,
two chin-up bars,
and a toroid on a spinning tree...

Had to conglomerate the two words at the end of this one, but it kinda gives it that "old fashioned tune" quality to the lyric (plus, "kit'parts" rolls of the tongue better than "kit parts" does).

On a side note, I got my Winter Solstace Tree up today. Also today comes us singing about what makes our robots work.

On the seventh day of FIRSTmas my true love gave to me: seven sets of switches,
six sacks of kit'parts,
fiiiiiiivvvvveee hours leeeeeeefffffttt!!!!!!!!!!
four wheel drive,
three robots,
two chin-up bars,
and a toroid on a spinning tree...

Re: The 12 Days of FIRSTmas... (2004 Edition)

My kitty gave me inspiration for this one (long story; I'll just say she likes being even the smallest distance off the floor). Eight is for octagon and a flashback to 1999.

On the eighth day of FIRSTmas my true love gave to me: eight pucks-a-rolling,
seven sets of switches,
six sacks of kit'parts,
fiiiiiiivvvvveee hours leeeeeeefffffttt!!!!!!!!!!
four wheel drive,
three robots,
two chin-up bars,
and a toroid on a spinning tree...

Re: The 12 Days of FIRSTmas... (2004 Edition)

Eddie needs to remember not to fall asleep five minutes before he plans on putting up the next day... anyhow, a reference to some robots from this current season which seemed to fly.

On the tenth day of FIRSTmas my true love gave to me: ten feet and soaring,
nine soccer balls,
eight pucks-a-rolling,
seven sets of switches,
six sacks of kit'parts,
fiiiiiiivvvvveee hours leeeeeeefffffttt!!!!!!!!!!
four wheel drive,
three robots,
two chin-up bars,

Re: The 12 Days of FIRSTmas... (2004 Edition)

Lets finish this. This is the lyric I saw that I had already written down.

On the twelfth day of FIRSTmas my true love gave to me: twelve JVNs,
eleven smilie faces,
ten feet and soaring,
nine soccer balls,
eight pucks-a-rolling,
seven sets of switches,
six sacks of kit'parts,
fiiiiiiivvvvveee hours leeeeeeefffffttt!!!!!!!!!!
four wheel drive,
three robots,
two chin-up bars,
and a toroid on a spinning tree...
