Re: So, what's your day job?

I'm a Lead (as in leader, not the material) Application Developer at an internet software company that specializes in human resource tools (timesheets, expenses, procurement, resource/contractor management, etc).

I make web-based applications, in other words.

I'm a senior in Computer Engineering Technology at Wentworth in Boston. Currently I'm on Co-Op in a software engineering group at Textron Systems. During an academic semester I try to get a cushiony office work study position.

Re: So, what's your day job?

I work for one of the largest injection molding equipment suppliers. I'm essentially an assembler. I build robots, conveyors, shuttles, tooling ect. for plastic material and part handling. On occasion I have to travel for service and trade shows.

We don't make the actual parts but rather the equipment to handle it. We can supply everything except the molding machine. I have personally built tooling for the interior door handles of the PT Cruiser, the grille for the Chevy Avalanche, and the Columbo yogurt lids with the spoon in them.

Re: So, what's your day job?

ABP'd!

I ended up talking myself into a "Marketing Research Intern" position over the summer at BEE and then also talking Babson into giving me class credit for it, but over the school year I am back to my "Operations and Marketing Assistant" position. When I'm not scheduled there I work for a group of professors that are affiliated with BEE doing research on the e-commerce industry.

So yeah, I work, a lot.

Re: So, what's your day job?

I work for a large homeowners association, and my official title is "Covenants Counselor". I inspect houses for design and maintenance violations, help clusters develop and maintain their standards, and I help individual homeowners with their applications for the Design Review Board. I manage 33 clusters (townhouse communities) which ends up being over 2,100 homes.

See, I told you all that I'm an Evil Overlord.

Re: So, what's your day job?

I am a full-time student at Pennsylvania College of Technology. While I am at home I am a service tech at Elden Street Tire and Service Center. I may be a service manager this coming summer. So I will deal with the customers and other techs instead of working on the cars.

Re: So, what's your day job?

I'm a Process Technician for UT Electronic Controls in Huntington, IN. I maintain and/or repair various pieces of processing equipment. Things like Solderwaves, Nordson coaters, Nordson ovens, Pematech testers, conveyors, eyelet machines and any other machines no one wants to take care of
I help maintain about 300 separate machines.
