openFIRST Looking for someone with basic HTML skills

The openFIRST project is currently looking for someone with a basic knowledge of proper HTML to locate and fix improper HTML code on the openFIRST project site and throughout the openFIRST code.

Training and guidance will be provided if needed. This would be an ideal way for someone without any previous experience working on a website in a team environment using CVS/submitting patches to gain the experience. The time commitment is very flexible, and the contributing individual(s) may choose to make as many or as few pages as they like validate (any pages that are fixed are a step in the right direction).

If you're interested, reply here or contact Jamie or myself.

Re: openFIRST Looking for someone with basic HTML skills

For clarification, I should mention that the validation work for the openfirst.org site itself may be done by anyone (FIRST students in elementary/high school are preferred); however, the validation work for the openFIRST project within the various modules that are distributed to teams is limited to being done only by students in elementary/high school.

Re: openFIRST Looking for someone with basic HTML skills

Thank you to those who have contacted Jamie or myself so far.

At this time, I'd like to welcome two new members to the openFIRST project, Anthony (anthony@openfirst.org) and Larry (larry@openfirst.org). Both are eager to start, and will begin making pages valid tomorrow (once their newly registered SF.net accounts propagate to the SF.net CVS server so that they have access to make changes).

Any more people who may be interested in applying are welcome. In the near future we'll also be looking for people with some knowledge of PHP and some experience debugging software to track down and resolve outstanding issues on the project Bugzilla site. (Feel free to contact me ahead of time for more details).
