yeah, me and a few other team members just are wrapping up an all-nighter and trying to find somewhere to go for breakfast. now i guess we can start to think a lot more about the new game and stuff, happy 05 to everybody.

5 members (1 alumni, 4 current) of my team spent all night playing Magic: The Gathering and talking of random stuff. I only got 30 minutes of sleep. Had one can of Mountain Dew (but had a glass of it previously). So engrossed in our game that the midnight hour passed without notice. I need sleep. ZZZZ....Zzzz....zzzz

The crazy thing is, one week from now, I'll probably pull another all-nighter, brainstorming and accumulating knowledge on what to do for the game.

New years day is the day we should all take a step back, relax deeply and look at the world around us and enjoy this moment of solitude and peace. .................No thinking about robots, drive systems, programming, hotel reservations, the kick off, the new game possibilities, ordering supplies, the team, the bus arrangements, the build schedule, late nights, pizza, hacksaws, welding, wheels, did I say drive systems, and programming. No thinking about chairmans award, event schedules, competitive assessments, web, Chief Delphi forums, pizza, trinkets and trash, drive teams, robot drivers, what the human player will do, romances on the team, afterschool meetings, design teams, sketches, motor torque and gear ratios, wire gage, tools to be ordered, the tool box, pit layout, ordering electronics, the new game, last years problems, this years solutions, lessons learned, prototypes, strength issues, being overweight, stall speeds, how to pick up the hoops, scoring them on the pyramids, descoring the hoops, traction, ordering aluminum, pizza .....ya right!!!!!!!!

Here's a tip for anyone planning a New Year's Eve Radio Extravaganza:

1) If you agreed to take the prior DJ's last hour, remember it. (I almost forgot--but I made it!)
2) NEVER EVER use a delay on New Year's Eve. (I had it turned on, planning to take calls--but none came. So then the next DJ came in, and he pointed out that by playing Auld Lang Syne (the Me First and the Gimme Gimmes cover) at midnight, I'd actually be playing it at 12:00:07. But we got it rocking out hard.)

And, um...yeah.

well i had and exciting new year..i worked( and no i am not being sarcastic). I met so many stars last night. To start off the night i get out to my first run out to the hotel and i pull up and there is half of the orlando magic team sitting there. So i was pretty excited. Then David lee roth was playing at the citywalk stage at midnight and so he happend to come on my boat aobut 10 pm so met him and talked with him for about 10 minutes on the drive in. Then to top it all of Godsmack was playing at Hard Rock Live in Citywalk, they were the midnight concert and about 2 am i get a call on my radio saying ryan we need to come back to citywalk dock and be the private yacht for Godsmack back to the Hard Rock Hotel, and i was speechless. So i got to meet all of Godsmack(cool guys), including there antrourage (sp? the spell check doesnt have it sorry). So i had a pretty exciting night got off my yacht about 330 went back to the supervisors office partyed with them a little then we all ended up at dennys till about 6am. Dennys is awesome becasue we get the nice employ discount. so even tho i worked i really enjoyed myself

I used to go out every single New Years eve and go crazy. But this time i decided to make a little bit different. i started off my new year at home relaxing and by talking to someone special (thanks). i have a feeling that this is going to be a good year. Happy New Year everyone...
