Re: FIRST-a-holics Anonymous

This is stretching my memory a bit as well as dating me, but the "FIRST-a-holics Anonymous" never existed as an organization as far as I can tell. Way back when (I believe it was the 2000 season), Kate Leach was handing out buttons saying "I am a lifetime member of FIRST-a-holics Anonymous" (there may have been someone else also as there are two sets of initials on the buttons; the second set is JAT). If anyone's really interested I could take a picture of my button but it's really not that exciting. There was a bit of a joke about the fact that as a member of an anonymous organization you'd wear a button announcing the fact.

I also believe there was a FIRST-a-holics website at one point. This web site really was just a listing of people in FIRST and their AIM screen names. This was before Chief Delphi had a field for that information.

So, in short, there never really was a FIRST-a-holics organization (at least any that I know of). There were buttons and a website but that's about it.

Matt
