A New Recipe Thread...Because Food is Good

So, I was sitting around Chief for a large amount of hours as usual, when I realized...where is the food? Food is love, which means we're missing love. I found one really specific recipe thread from 2003 on a fundraiser, but then...

so BAM! Firsters, submit your recipes. With the build season within a week, and people running out of their houses like mad with no time to even consider making real food, easy real food is great. Especially since I don't trust some people with an oven sometimes

To start, I'll post a recipe or two I have sitting around...

This is good with apple, and also spectacular with other fruits. There ARE supposed to be two different mentions of sugar...the ingredients are in categories.

Fruit Muffins
Ingredients
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp salt

1 beaten egg
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup cooking oil

3/4 cup very sliced apple (or any other fruit)
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoon sugar

Instructions
1. Mix all dry ingredients (flour, 1/4 cup sugar, baking powder, salt) in a large bowl, with a small well in the center for later stuff.
2. Combine egg, milk, and oil. Add eg mixture all at once to flour mixture. Stir until moistened. The batter should be rather lumpy at this point.
3. Slice up your fruit or put it in a cup if it's small like blueberries. Add the 1/4 cup + 2 TB sugar into the fruit cup, and pour all that into the batter bowl.
4. Grease muffin cups or line with paper bake cups. Now, preheat your oven to 400 degrees. While that's going on, pour the batter in at about 2/3 level. When your oven goes ping! you can put them in, for about 20-25 minutes. They should look a bit golden when they're done. Cool a tiny bit, and then eat! Best served warm.

This recipe is almost idiot proof. Note: These muffins aren't that overly sweet, but if you like it a bit less sweet, the sugar amount is somewhat liberal. Enjoy!
