Official 2005 Clue Thread

I haven't read each and every post on this thread, so maybe I missed it if someone else has already thought of some of this........................

There was a baseball player named Pi Schwert. He was a catcher for the Yankees. Short baseball career, but later he went into politics. Perhaps the "Pi" in the clue isn't just our friendly 3.14.

Now how about that "between Pi, You and Me".....................
If we consider Neun and Burns to be together at their usual 1st base position and Schwert at homeplate, what is between? a "runner"? a "baseline"?

Or if we consider first base as position 1 and Pi as position 3 (third base), we have the pitcher or pitching mound between.

I agree with all those folks claiming there are also several hidden 3's and 6's in the clue.
