Go to Post My team heard another team describe the Championships as "10,000 kids jamming the Georgia Dome for 3 days…more nerds per square foot than a Star Trek convention…and more purposefully employed " Is this true?, Because I don't think there could possibly be a more wonderful place on earth - Emily3204 [more]

See Here and here.

KVermilion: If you still would like to re-encode the two 13+ GB files to divx, I wouldn't know of a way to transfer them quickly. It would be faster to send you DVDs. I could save the video as a VCD-sized MPEG-1 as a quick-fix while I send you the files. I could also try the AiW again, though I don't know if it will work now. How do you re-encode those videos? (MPEG), because every time I tried reencoding them to any AVI, they were out of sinc. (Getting worse as the video progressed, not constant.)

Tom Bottiglieri: Thank you for offering your webspace and bandwidth. If we can figure-out how to make this videofile, I'd be glad to use it.

Roland: The problem now in not just encoding, but capturing a huge file onto a hard-disk. Right now, I'm making room an my NTFS partition, and I'll try using that.

I know this is late to be doing this, but I've been so busy with Christmas, I haven't really had time to work on it untill this week.

More Edits:

Here's the thread on my team's website where I should be releasing the files: (Please note the site is under construction, so please bear with me.)

13+ GB??? How long of a file and at what rate? I recorded about 4.5 hours the other night to see how well it would work, having it cut every 700MB for storage onto Cd's. I only used about 700MB per 35 minutes. or about 4 gig or so. I too Will be recording off my satellite to VCR then when I get back from kickoff it will be converted to digital onto my website and my team's site (links below) I will have multiple sizes and qualities and if wanted I could burn to DVD within a few days for a small fee ( price of DVD ) then send to you.

With my testing I used mid quality and after recording for that long my laptop turned off for some reason but the video was all saved correctly and synchronized. So expect to see high quality video on my site probably by Sunday night.
