Question Gyros in 2005

At the kickoff, Dave demonstrated how a gyro could be used to correct position when the robot is bumped. But there is no gyro in the KOP. What was the point of that demonstration, if it's not included in the KOP?

Are you sure we used it some last year at least in testing so i am pretty sure it should eb in the kit of parts this year so maybe check again. but if not then yea whats the point

We looked through the kit, as well as the KOP checkoff list, and no gyro. One of our team members went to one of the training sessions the other day, and he said they were using much smaller gyros than were in the previous years' kits.

Unless the TI accellerometers have gyros built in as well as accellerometers, I don't know how the KOP's electronics could have a directional PID like that...
