Re: Problems with transmission using Inventor 8
IFI did use Inventor 9 for their model. Transmission_Assy.iam opened without any problem with 9. I attached a screenshot of what we're missing with Inv 8. Looks like most of their parts are based on models imported from some other application, rather than designed in Inventor.
I suggest downloading the STEP or IGES files for these parts if you don't want to wait to see if Autodesk will make Inv 8 versions available. Inventor hung when I tried to import the IGES files, but I could open the STEP assembly OK (takes a while to translate). You have to enable the STEP translation add-in to open them (Tools menu: Add-Ins...). |
