Re: Who's missing parts?

Out to teams...

Greetings Teams:

Some immediate clarification on four very important issues:

LED Light Clusters
They were not supposed to be in the kit. They will be handed out at the regional events before your robot is inspected.

We apologize for the confusion in labeling this item as "Event Pick-up Item 6" on the Kit of Parts checklist.

Taigene Sliding Door Motor
The "Gray Container Item 5 Loose" should have contained 1 motor, not 2. The Kit of Parts list incorrectly specified a quantity of 2.

Globe Motor
The "Gray Container Item 5 Loose" should have contained 1 motor, not 2. The Kit of Parts list incorrectly specified a quantity of 2.

Purchasing Additional Parts
Please Do Not call MMH for additional parts. For 2005, Innovation First will be handling the sale of additional parts to teams.

Out to teams...

Greetings Teams:

The 2 Hall-Effect Gear Tooth sensors ARE in the Sensor Envelope. They are "stuck" to the sides of the Texas Instrument's Accelerometer magnet.

Please look very closely. They are not very big... ~ 5/16" diameter x 1/4" tall with 4 silver-colored leads protruding from them.

Thank you.

Re: Who's missing parts?

For all team reps who went to Manchester to get their kits:

How many packages did you receive?

We got, one Black Bin, one Gray Bin, and one Kit-Bot Cardbord box.

Unfortunately, we are missing nearly every electrical component that is supposed to be in the electrical bag., includng the OI, Radio, and the new sensors.

:sigh:

Did we forget a bin/box at kickoff?

There should be another white box labelled electrical.

Also, I didn't see the FIRST Gearbox box listed in your list there.

Re: Who's missing parts?

We are also missing a Globe Motor and a Van Door motor. And our Van Dor had a "Bad" sticker on it too.

No you're not. They sent out an update that said there is only supposed to be one of each in each kit.

Re: Who's missing parts?

Are the pilot valve and lead wire assy the same thing that is shown in the upper left hand of the KoP Photo Album (http://www2.usfirst.org/2005comp/photos/SMC1.pdf) labeled as "Solenoid Coils for dual Valve"?

Thanks,
indieFan

Re: Who's missing parts?

Even though I know that we are only supposed to get 1 globe motor, I am pretty sure that we do not even have that. Isn't the globe motor the one that attaches to the flexible extensions. First does have a photo gallery of parts but the motors do not seem to be included in the gallery. Does any one know of a photo gallery that includes and labels the motors?

Loving the confusion,
judson

our hall effect sensors were stuck to the sensor assembly. they are magnetic. should there have been two sensor assemblies or just one?
