Stacking Vision Tetras

Has anyone built two vision tetras? If so, do they stack the same as regular tetras or do the colored boards get in the way?

Re: Stacking Vision Tetras

The vision bands shouldn't get in the way of stacking. The pipe connectors are the places that make contact, there shouldnt be contact with the green surfaces while stacking.

I stacked them in Manchester at the kickoff and they stack the same. The boards are out of the way inside. They are held on with tiewraps and there is the potential for them to hang up a little on those as they are sliding together. I double checked my photos to reconfirm.

Re: Stacking Vision Tetras

I can't see the vision pieces getting in the way, but I am concerned that this will make these tetras far more difficult to pick up. sounds like another part of the challenge

I agree. It's going to make it so you can only pick it up one way since it can only be stacked in one orientation

Re: Stacking Vision Tetras

Once again, I'm gonna predict something.

We are going to need a lot of extra zip ties to attach broken off green pieces.

For anyone who went to kickoff: How durable are the zip ties? Are they just plastic, or metal reinforced?

Do they look likely to be broken by harsh contact with robots in crazy auto mode scenarios?

I recall bins breaking in 2003, and those were maybe a little more durable.
