Re: FIRST Rules On Ipod

i kind of wish that the ipod is plug and play, that would be pretty handy, it would also be handy if it was able to store stuff like a usb key could, then it would be like...perfect. Oh has anyone upgraded their headphones on their handheld device? I'm in the market for my iPod |

If you just plug an iPod into a PC without installing anything, it will show up as a removable drive. Just copy the music into iPod_Control/Music/F00 and you are good to go (you may have to enable viewing hidden folders). You can also put any files on it, just as you would a USB key. Similarly, if you have installed iTunes, just go to Edit-Preferences-iPod-General and check "Enable Disk Use", which will stop iTunes from taking your iPod hostage. The only downside to this is that whenever your iPod is plugged in, it will show the "Do not Disconnect" logo, and you will need to either open iTunes and click eject or use the "Stop Hardware" icon in your taskbar before disconnecting. Finally, if you are going for replacement headphones, I highly recommend the Sony MDR-ES71SL. They are by far the best portable headphones I have ever used, and you can even get white ones that match your iPod (although you usually will pay a bit more for white). |

Re: FIRST Rules On Ipod
Thanks! I now have the rules on my iPod.
It might just take a bit of use to get used to looking up the rules that way. And I probably should have edited out the Table of Contents in each section. ![]() |

The only downside is to use iTunes you have to switch back to the mac OS, but it's not hard, just holding a few buttons during start up. Oh, and as far as I know, it only works for 3g and earlier. |
