Registering and purchasing from MSC

Hi All,

I must be thinking too hard, but I'm trying to register with MSC to make a purchase, and I don't understand their instructions! I've read all three sheets of papers that they have included. But I just don't get it.

Are we supposed to register our Team number (Team-368) in the first name contact person field? What about the last name? How can I enter an account number if I don't have one yet and how do I use this credit card /COD account number they provided?

Am I the only person who doesn't understand what they want us to do?

I think I'm having an easier time designing our transmission for this years robots then registering correctly!

Re: Registering and purchasing from MSC

I've had an account with MSC for a couple of years now and I was trying to see how I could set up the discount account tonight. I've run into the same problem. The places they say to start don't have the fields they indicate.

Re: Registering and purchasing from MSC

If you like to register with MSCDirect through First.
You go the MSCDirect homepage from the homepage click on
"click here to locate & register your account."
It will take you to a page where it asks for your account number and zip code
In the account section put the number first provided, and for the zip code place 03103. This is the zip code for FIRST.
You will be taken a page where several accounts appear.
In order to find your account your going to have type your team # in the box to search for the last name. Your number will appear and all you have to do is click on register. After this all you have to register and your done.
This is the method to get the account through FIRST. I had to try several times before I finally got to this point. Now I have three accounts with MSCDirect. Hope this helps
