Team 48 Pre-ship Scrimmage Event 2/19

Hey everyone.

Every year, Team 48 holds a Pre-ship scrimmage event on our full size practice field the Saturday before the robot ship date. We try to run as many qualification format matches as we can (including autonomous). This is a great way to test out your robots against other robots in an actual match setting before you have to crate it up and ship it out. Don't wait until your first regional to find out how your robot will hold up to the competition!

Lunch will be provided to all teams, and access to our tools and shop will be available all day to any team who needs them.

The Pre-ship event will be held on Saturday, February 19th in the small gym of Warren G. Harding High School (860 Elm Rd., Warren OH 44483). All FIRST teams are welcome, but naturally, we expect to receive the most interest from our northern OH, western PA, southern MI (wouldn't that be cool?), and northern WV neighbors.

For more information, please contact me via email or PM, or send an email to Chris Neifer at christopher.neifer@neomin.org.
The tentative event schedule is as follows:

10:00 - Doors Open, Matches Begin

11:30 - Lunch

1:00 - Matches Continue

4:00 - Wrap up

Our competition team puts a lot of time into building our playing field each year, and we don't like keeping it to ourselves. By all means, please feel free to take advantage of this resource on February 19th. If, for some reason, you would like access to our practice field and cannot make it to the event on the 19th, we may be able to accomodate you on some other day (provided we actually finished constructing the field!). Just send us an email and we'll see what we can do to help.

Thanks,
