Re: Webhug 2005

That cell phone reminder sounds terrific. I've planned on going for the past 2 years and forgot both times.
Too bad I won't be in Atlanta this year though. =(

Re: Webhug 2005

Maybe someone could get the pit announcer to give a little warning before it is about to start in the pits. I can see it now there is a announcement and all the pits empty out, that would be great.

We've asked FIRST to announce in the past, and for good reasons, they have declined. I'll work on the cell phone reminder in the coming months. Stay tuned.

Re: Webhug 2005

Getting closer... FYI

Quote:
There will be a NEMO "Meet and Greet" on Thursday, April 21, 2005, at 10:00 a.m. at the Championships in Atlanta. I am aiming to meet outside the Georgia Dome, to the right of the doors before you board the escalator to go to the World Congress Center.
Can we set up a schedule so there are no conflicts or perhaps combine the activities to a mutual location?

You can choose one or both from: an hour reminder, and a 15 minute reminder, or something to that effect.
that would ROCK, ultra cool idea
but i would NEVER want to over work brandon......

Re: Webhug 2005

Brandon, some may not have cell phones with text messaging ability. My dad's, which is what I'm probably going to bring, doesn't have it for example. So, the conga line will do.

Re: Webhug 2005

last year i felt like a little bit of an outsider to make it to the web hug because i did not spend nearly as much time on CD then as i do now, but i am most certainly planning on coming this year at Nat'ls. i am excited, and Brandon, i love your idea about the cell phone text reminders!!! Now, if only i can remember to actually carry my phone around with me, i'd be set! if not, i'll just follow the conga line!

I'll be making the cell phone reminder system one of these days coming up.

We will be making an announcement about the time/location of this year's webhug very soon. Stay tuned to the portal (or Announcements forum)
