last year and this year we are using 2 FP motors coupled together for our winch. It made for a pretty long winch off the groud last year, but this year we increased our spool size and it works nice and quick for what we use it for.
We put a keyed shaft right through the 2 motors, which were positioned opposite of each other, and then put a spool in the middle. A key point was to put some hose clamps over the end hexagonal shapes of the gear box, becuase that plastic has a tendency not to hold up. |
