It depends what standards you are talking about and what parts of PostNuke. Many people run PostNuke sites compatibly with even the most strict standards (like 508 accesibility), but it is largely up to you to make sure your theme is valid. With just a few exceptions, the core code outputted is all legal. Our site almost validates except for a small bug in the links, that i havent gotten around to fixing

I see........ i guess i am just looking around for something that is fully validated......... no matter what part you look at. I remember trying postnuke at one time...... but i decided against it for some reason....... i will have to download it and try it out again.

There is no way you can find any CMS that has any freedom to customize that will be always fully validated. If the CMS lets you enter HTML to display on pages, use 3rd party plugins/modules, or use custom themes or templates, there is room for error.

Yes there is...... i have found several that are fully validated and that are fully customizable. Granted that they can't validate 3rd party modules, blocks, plugins, modifications, etc. For reference take a look at this http://www.opensourcecms.com/index.p...atid=7&id=1277

Back to using PHP Nuke, I think its ok to be eligible for the website award. Look, if a team can not design their own website, then they might as well use something like PHP Nuke. Something is better than nothing, granted that it doesn't take much to learn HTML. Who are we to decide what the situation of a certain team is? How do we know how many kids are dedicated and how much time they have to devote to their website? If they win the website award, they sure must have made it look good/done something right/it must be better than other websites that entered for the award.

Exactly! Even for people like me that know HTML, JavaScript, PHP, etc., it is just a lot less time consuming to have all the features of a CMS made and ready to use, than to make them by myself. But like i said before, even while using a CMS....... it takes a lot of time to modify and manage the site.
