phatty told me to post some ratios, but i think its funner when you guess.

ghetto moding! that last shaft is a 1/2 boaring bar, and its powered by a battery off a 12v drill, theres acually nothing holding those shatfs to the plate (prety sure i have a video of it falling apart here somewhere. what else is gehtto in this pic, hmm guess thats it...

gl guessing those ratios.

Nice gearbox. For the arm? I'm guessing. But one thing I wonder, that's goign to give a lot of torque...but like almost no speed because the van door motors are already quite slow...Does the arm have to be that precise?

Depends which arm on the bot we put it on. Speed isnt as important as the torque in this instance. Feel free to stop by our pit at ATL this year and see why.

or an arm with mnultiple links which change small angular motion into fast linear motion. like cams. only more complicxated.
