Read up a little, and it seems like there is still a question. Apparently, if you look towards the end of thread about Kevin Watson's gyro update, you see information about the possibility of counting the BEI gyro as allowable if it is "used". I would assume not until FIRST clarifies though, but that is just my opinion.
If we can transform our culture to the point where girls swoon over guys as they pull their dremel off their belt and carve some speed holes in a smooth fluid motion, I think FIRST is half way to its goal.
