Re: Competition Music
My taste isn't that mainstream so I don't know how good it is for giant groups, but here is a couple that i can think of off the top of my head.
Yoshimi vs The Pink Robots - by the Flaming lips Another one bites the dust - by Queen Godzilla - Blue Oyster Cult Reach for the sun-Polyphonic Spree |

We've left out the obvious - Mr. Roboto!
Kernkraft 500 by Zombie Nation and We Like To Party by The Vengaboys are also FIRST classics. I can't say I've ever heard it played at a FIRST event, but Ballroom Blitz would be a good one too. And feel free to mix Shiny Dirt all you want...just let me know how it turns out and give proper credit (PM me if you want to discuss anything about it). Kev |

Re: Competition Music
3 songs I remember from the 2004 season.
From the Sac. Regional - Hey Mickey From the Curie Field - DJ Sammy - Heaven (It kinda felt like heaven when our alliance ended up as the 2004 Curie champion) From the Einstein Field - Darude - Sandstorm (I was actually standing down on the field next to a stack of 4 JBL Sub woofers when they played it - it was scary) |

Re: Competition Music
You know what a lot of the lists are forgetting?
Ska. (I know that WUSC has this compilation entitled "SKAndalous: I've Gotcha Covered Vol. 2" that I thoroughly enjoy playing. You haven't lived unless you've heard the version of Bon Jovi's "Wanted Dead Or Alive" on that album.) |

Enter Sandman-Metallica Sandstorm-Darude Cotton Eye Joe-Rednex Baby Got Back-Sir Mixalot Ironman-Black Sabbath Another One bites the Dust-Queen Devil Went Down to Georgia-Charlie Daniels Band (nationals mix only) Freebird-Lynard Skynard Mr. Roboto-Styx Eye of the Tiger-Survivor Eruption-Van Halen Smells Like Teen Spirit-Nirvana Either Under Pressure by Queen or Don't Panic or Clocks by Coldplay (play after there is this accident on the field) Stairway to Heaven-Led Zepplin (in honor of last year) ok this is my start off, i happen to be a big rock fan so i have a fair amount of rock on there.
