<R39> Specific items NOT allowed include:

• Batteries different from or in addition to those provided in the Kit.
• Circuit breakers different from those provided in the Kit. Note: the Snap Action brand circuit breakers provided have unique “trip” characteristics. No substitute brands are permitted.
• Electric motors different from or in addition to those in the Kit.
• Any air compressor, pressure relief valves, or air storage tanks other than those provided in the Kit.
• Hydraulic fluids or hydraulic components.
• Materials classified as hazardous by their MSD Sheets (teams should provide MSD Sheets materials they use that might be considered questionable during robot inspection).

I think Katie answered your question pretty well about 7 minutes before you posted this in your first thread. The answer is: No, you can not use a different air supply than the one provided in the kit of parts.

Team Update 6 addressed this:
Quote:
If you wish to order extra batteries from a Batteries Plus location with the order form provided on our website, you should ONLY contact the Manchester NH store. This is the only location carrying the FIRST-approved batteries provided in the 2005 kit of parts for this year. Please Contact Batteries Plus in Manchester NH at 603-621-0100.
The Batteries Plus order form can also be found in the Documentation section of the FIRST website here.
