IR (infrared) sensors
We're going to be using ifrared sensors (I hope). Does anybody know how to wire them AND what kind of input they will give to the robot CPU. Even if you know a link where I can find this information, it'd be appreciated. They're Banner sensors, not sure where the team got them, its my first year.

Re: IR (infrared) sensors
The item you have the Banner Sensor could have come from one of the Kit of Parts from over the past 3 years. Each year had a sensor that acts in a different way. If you can get a part number for or the years FRC kit of parts the unit you have to use came from i can direct to the specific spec sheet, wiring diagram and information pertaining to that model.

FRC 2003/2004 Banner Sensor Spec Sheet
If you search the Chief Delphi Forums also with the part number QS18VN6D you will find a few older threads also that will help you out with some of the information your seeking. If i remember correctly in 2003 we received the reflective model and in 2004 we received the diffuse model. The thread http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=24976 provides a few more external documents from Banner that will explain this more in depth and answer other questions you may have. Re: IR (infrared) sensors
Does anybody know where to hook up the IR sensor (Banner QS18VN6D). I need to know if its analog or digital (and how to hook it up, I think we've just got a cable lead coming out of it). Our hunch is that its a digital. We think it reflects off of white but not off of black. If somebody could fill me in, it'd be appreciated.
