No. You may only use the motors in the kit and only in the quantities provided.

<R39> Specific items NOT allowed include:

• Batteries different from or in addition to those provided in the Kit.
• Circuit breakers different from those provided in the Kit. Note: the Snap Action brand circuit breakers provided have unique “trip” characteristics. No substitute brands are permitted.
Electric motors different from or in addition to those in the Kit.
• Any air compressor, pressure relief valves, or air storage tanks other than those provided in the Kit.
• Hydraulic fluids or hydraulic components.
• Materials classified as hazardous by their MSD Sheets (teams should provide MSD Sheets for any materials they use that might be considered questionable during robot inspection).

We had one of the local machine shops make us a coupling from the inventor file one the first parts library, Warning, the inventor files for the Jideco motor are not accurate enough for this. I spent the better part of three hours with a dremmil (sp) and one of the bits the shop had used re cutting the profile to fit the gear. It only has 4 inside teeth and is made out of steel. Other good suggestions I've heard are casting one from epoxy putty. be sure and use a release agent. And using a clamp like device to grip the teeth. Also the inventor file for the van door motor is not accurate enough to make a bracket that you can bolt the van door motor to. Mounting holes are to far from the shaft by about 3/32" Good luck
