Re: Buying spare Sliding Door Motors

You will have a very hard time buying that motor. It is from a particular sliding door for a particular model and that only for a limited time period. The motors are not a service item, so you have to buy the entire drive unit (read expensive). I don't even what model vehicle that the motor came from.

In my opinion, your best bet is to trade for them on Chief Delphi or with other local teams.

Re: Buying spare Sliding Door Motors

Ya i deleted the post above because I thought you were talking about the van door motors because I just read door motors. I found 'sliding door motors' from a Chrysler. I Ebayed it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7950688021&catego ry=33696&sspagename=WDVW

It's quite pricey though, and also comes with the flex shaft that came in this year's KOP. It's new though...But good luck looking for one.

The Chrysler sliding door motor is NOT the van door motor form the KOP. It is a cool motor with a hall effect sensor and an electro-magnetic clutch built in, but it is not legal to use the motor or the clutch, but I suppose the sensor and flex cable could be used if accounted for in the right way.

Also, the flex shaft from that motor is NOT the flex shaft from the KOP -- like in a way, yes, but it is about twice the diameter and can carry about 3-4 times the torque.
