Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

i think one team we have to watch out for is Team 71 BUT i am also thinkin you might have to watch out for us too Team 1259. as you can see below we where the rookie of they year last year in midwest regionals, we got 4th out of the 53. not bad i think, and i think this year we may be a real threat aslo (my 2 cents)

Thumbs up Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

Hopefully this year Team 96 is making a comback for green. Still, it'd be tough to put my team over MOE... can't beat that glow.... that might be the reason for some of the kids wearing shades indoors... any way, BUZZ definitly has some bright shirts, but New England has a lot of... different teams. Teams 230 and 173 have some impressive "shows". Techo-nuts too man.

On the West coast, GRT (Gunn Robotics) stands out in a crowd. Who could miss that bright red hair? (Sorry I don't remember the number.) Also, 65, the Gila Monsters, stands out, particularly when they do the Gila dance.

Yea you can see them in the dark, its kinda scary sometimes.
One of the great things about having our team in bright MOE green is that we can track them down where ever we go, never get lost at an airport or mall and you can always find a MOE member

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

Has anyone mentioned Diablo? (Team 87) Rancocas Valley always has a very spirited team, and often win Imagery Awards. They had a "Priceless" shirt for their mentors a few years back that was excellent (said with envy). They also build very good robots. GO DIABLO!!!

For the record, 33 is the Killer Bees, and Delphi E.L.I.T.E. is 48 (47 being the one and only Chief Delphi).

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

I think the team that stands out most according to me is team 279 Tech Fusion. Last year, they are the only team that made 7 buttons that spelled out "DESTINY" and a prize to go along with them. Who couldn't forget the "What time is it? 279!" chant? The first team that we had a spirit battle with at last year's GLR. They were awesome .

Other teams include:
1241 (Theory 6) With their orange beanies and unidentifyable blue mascot .
494 (Martians), 'nuff said.
217 (Thunder Chickens) also 'nuff said.
111
47
and the list goes on.

Eric,

I am glad you like our dance. We know who started it. No one can remember when or where it started (for sure.) We once had nearly 600 people doing it at EPCOT.

By the way the Gila Monsters are Team #64. If you are at Phoenix, Denver, or Las Vegas, come on down and join us.

Ken

one that no one (i think) has posted but I'm sure at least a few teams remember is 276, the mad cow bots. If only for the fact that they sat their robot on top yours at one point in time. I've had the honor of seeing them in action and i have to say, they look pretty good this year.

Just my 2 cents.

well, 279 was very memorable, but the it's actually Krunch time (team 79). that was very confusing last year at Nats. Swamp is also very memorable, due to the green body paint. the knights who say Nee were sweet at ucf too.

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

Out of teams that went to UTC last year, 157, 173, and 175 stand out the most in my mind for being noticeable, and as for Philly, MOE was way too memorable for anyone else to stand out.

Re: Who do you think are the most identifiable teams?

Anyone who attended FLR will agree that team 1547- Trafalgar Castle "Where's Waldo" is pretty hard to miss. Their striped red shirts and enthusiasm couldn't be missed at the venue. This GM team from Canada won a well deserved Rookie Inspiration Award at FLR. See them at Greater Toronto Regional, and hopefully Championship.
