Team 694 Rocking!

This is our final bot minus our tetra lifter. We've been done since saturday(the picture is 3 days old) and have just been testing it and ironing out all the bugs. Its got a bunch of nifty little things for you all to see. Figure out what all that flourescent red cabling is for and you'll get a cookie. Tomorrow or friday night i'll post a full description and pictures of all the systems. Also some videos of action .

I could be wrong, but is that a big coil of pneumatic tubing that didn't come in the kit? Q&A question #1407 disallowed that, if it is.

A team can make there own coil tubing if they choose to, but can not buy it.
so as long as they made that tube them selves it should be fine.

Q:Question ID 1179 did not answer the question. After much discussions there has not been a concensus as to whether 1/4" coiled hose can be used for expansion reasons? We would like to see a yes or no answer please.
A:No. It does not pass the 2005 Part Use Flowchart for a fitting or a valve.

From what I see, you can make your own coil out of the tubing in the kit, but that red stuff didn't come in the kit. Am I wrong?

it seems they are using the corrct black and green tubing for pneumatics tho. maybe they arent using that red stuff for pneumatics?
and your drive pulleys. they are timing belt right? from this angle and distance i cant see if they are toothed or not. and different sized pulleys for front and rear? do you have different sized wheels? or is that not for your drive? andi see fp motor+gearbox down there and i have no idea what it does.

hmmm...

so do those side panals rotate up into the center of the bot to meet size requirements and then pop down and out for an anti-tipping mechinism? looks like you control all four panels with one pnuematic in the back... very innovative!
