Sorry about that rant back there, but I had a lot of momentum going and could'nt stop.

It is sad and unfortunate that, in one of the greatest countries on earth (canada is one of em too) we still have such problems as drug abuse, children begin beaten, wives being beaten...in an age when the future is so bright, much of society has turned their backs to fundamental trageties that occur daily, hourly, in every town and city.

In retrospect, it seems somewhat out of place, in this thread, but I guess staying clean, in body and in spirit, IS the #1 way to start any relationship...

Right??

Harrison has a little shameless behaviour in the past
I think the best thing here is to lead by example.

Setting a good example works wonders in all sorts of things, not just drugs, etc.

Look at FIRST teams with good spirit, they set a good example for other teams, spreading the spirit.

Definitly, Harrison, the same reasons can be applied to all arenas, not just drugs

Ak!

I think my melacholy posts have put a dismal outlook opf despair into fellow posters in this thread.

Thus, I will begin another, happy beginning, starting with this post.

Earlier in this thread, the issues of holding doors open was discussed, the answer still unclear, but I'll do it anyway out of habit

The main point brought up with any tip or do/do not list, was that all these things depend on the situation at hand.

Has anyone been in an incredibly weird or outragous situation involving theses sort of relationships (remember, it may not have been funny at the time, but in retrospect hiliarious) I have one really good one, but will never post it here

Any advice you could give, for either guy or gal, in these situations? They may be more common than you think. (I'm not seriously expecting any replies here, may be too embarrassing, esp. if you arent using a pseudonym, like me

Holding Door - Most girls like it, there are the few that don't though...

I got some funny stories with my relationships...I just am not going to tell them here.

Same here, I don't want any of it coming back

So...what have we got so far:

GOOD
Holding doors open
Being yourself
Being polite
Be casual
offering, but not insisting, help
not being an addict*

*Soda is ok, cafeine is marginal

BAD
Being rude
NOT holding doors open (open to debate )
pick up lines of almost any sort
being macho
being sterotypical
wearing sunglasses in doors

Anything I missed?

hehe, no names of course, but a girl on our team was 'stalked' by a guy on another team. i had to keep on getting her out of conversations when he talked to her. this girl is very nice, and can't be mean to a guy, but because of that he never got the hint. now she did give some hints, but ladies, us guys are stupid and we like to think even a small sign means you like us. just so i never turn out to be 'stalker' (i of course won't, this is just a conversation starter ), if you don't like a guy, what types of hints do you give. plus, if you do like a guy, what do you do (I know ya'll said brushing up against the guy, but does anybody else do something different?)

I can feel for your friend, for I was stalked to.

If the girl shows signs that she wants to leave that pit and talk to you, or she goes to your pit alot to talk, she likes ya usually.

you want to know honestly how i act when i like a guy? the exact opposite of what all the other girls say. Other girls say touching, eye contact, etc...i am completely the opposite. I get shy, and awkward, can't look him in the eye. When it comes to guys, i am like a junior higher who never grew up. On the other hand, i tend to be very affectionate toward my friends (girls and guys alike!). I will smile, look them in the eye, laugh at their jokes even when they aren't funny, hug them, brush their shoulder, play with their hair (bop them )...
But for a lot of girls, i think the above are good indications that she likes ya. But i'm not a lot of girls...i'm just one, and mikey will confirm that i'm weird anyways.

lol, Amy ... I have to say I agree with you, though. I seem to be much more relaxed around my friends, so if I know a girl and we're just friends, it might look like we're flirting when we're not, and when I'm around a girl I don't know, well, I just do stupid things
