A couple of years ago the animators were so mad at Autodesk for bungling the animation awards that thought actually crossed our minds. Make it a mini -Oscar like event or something (best animation, best music, best production design ect.). Have some fun with it.

i agree with ed, don't let this stop you. get everybody together and have a showing of the animations. the animators are supposed to be the regional judges anyway. maybe you could have every team pitch in a little money towards a trophy.
