- You mean a motor directly through a 40 A breaker, I take it.
- No, that's not allowed. You may use a Spike relay with the low-current motors, through the breaker panel, or a Victor 884 with any motor, also through the breaker panel.
- A wench is something else. You mean winch. [Edit: Somebody kindly fixed that...it was originally in the title of the post.]
