I've tried 6 times today. Always a very long wait, then nothing. At least we were able to upload our storyboard!

Re: Problems Uploading to Streamline

We've tried on 3 different computers at work and home about 12 or 13 times so far - no luck!

Is there anyone with an FTP site that I can send this to, who can upload it for us?

Yesterday we tried uploading a 133 meg file and some small storyboard files.
The small files uploaded fine. The big file seemed to be uploading (according to the little bar graph on the bottom of I.E.) but after 10 minutes we recieve message:

Code:
The page cannot be displayed. The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings.
Today we tried uploading a version in a smaller file size - 77 Meg. Same problem as above.

The students that I mentor worked very hard on this project (as I'm sure you all did). It would be a shame if a technical glitch prevented their entry from making it to the judging process.

I guess all I can do is keep trying...

Re: Problems Uploading to Streamline

Hi Kevin,
I uploaded your file finally using the Streamline ProjectPoint 6.1.1240.3 software. The program compressed your file from 76MB to 48MB for the upload. However, it took several attempts for this to work. Streamline I noticed, if the transfer rate was 0 kB/sec for about 30 seconds are longer it would interrupt the connection and the transfer. It would allow you to try again.

About the fourth time it worked. Whew!!

The web upload that we tried didn't reveal this info to us...just the standard default I.E. page error message.

Try downloading this file to see if it works for you.

Chuck

Do you know if Autodesk will extend the deadline, because of the problems many teams had uploading their entries to Streamline?

Re: Problems Uploading to Streamline

we handed in our animation on streamline a day early, the Monday before it was due, and I made sure that the animation worked within Streamline. However, when i checked back on Tuesday, our animation file size was 0kb... So i uploaded the animation again even though it was after 8a.m.

I hope we won't get penalized for that...

Re: Problems Uploading to Streamline

Teams,

Please check your uploads to be sure they are not 0 bytes,
and if so, try the upload with the Streamline client, instead
of via the web.

We know you have worked hard on these animations, so please
upload regardless of the deadline so they can be viewed by all.

We will take the upload headaches into consideration with regards
to the awards deadline.

Regards,
Pete

Re: Problems Uploading to Streamline

Please, given the problems uploading, I think we'd all prefer that more of the entries be included in the judging, rather than less. Given that we were given notice at about 9:45 that the problem had been cleared up, and given that some of us have to upload large files across very slow connections, my team at least would greatly appreciate it if all the entries that were at least within a few hours of the deadline be included. Please take this into consideration.

Thanks,
Team 114
