Re: Have you named your robot?

Well the school's mascot is the Red Devil. The team name is the RoboDevils. So what else could we call a beast like this but the "Devils' Tower" !

Re: Have you named your robot?

Ours is called S.A.R.T.A.N.Y.A.C. 3000. We were going for the most obnoxious acronym we could think of, and it stands for Super Awesome Robot That Always Needs Your Aluminum Cans. We named it this because our mind fundraiser was a recycling drive so we decided to use a can theme throughout. We tacked on the 3000 because it sounds so cool (and cliched!).

Re: Have you named your robot?

We named ours Scorpius, it reminded us of a scorpion, then we changed the frame to reduce weight and now it looks like a VW bug.

Re: Have you named your robot?

We had a debate over our robots name, so we came up with two names. One name is Echotha, which is the name of the Cherokee Indian Nation, because part of our arm looks like a arrowhead and alot of our team members have Cherokee Indian in them. the other name is Barbra III, which is simple and sweet.

This year our robot is Interface.

Last year we were Chaos. Not a bad name for a rookie team.

Yeah well, the past two years at HHS we've been operating on unofficial names. My freshman year the robot, unofficially was named Zeus, last year it was unoffically named Orion, and fortunately, they didn't listen to me and my lame Apollo idea and we're thinking of either calling it VERN 2.0 or the Wonkavator (long story there).

Ours is Meshach, after Meshach Browning, the "famous Garrett County hunter". We're a rural county.

Re: Have you named your robot?

Ours is Deeper Thought, not too much different than last year's name. We usually decide on a name before we even building the robot (where got some novel suggestions such as "Cupcake" or "#######").
