Re: What will the winners have over the rest of us
We had that last year and we still lost in the quarters to the eventual national champions =P
In short, I don't believe this year will be radically different in terms a winning alliance; cooperation, communication and a healthy desire to play a heavy contact/daring strategy will always be a force to be dealt with. The biggest change is the addition of the third robot, IMO. It will be interesting to see if the power trannies will prove their mettle in clearing the way for another alliance partner to cap, or indeed, capping themselves. Quote:

Re: What will the winners have over the rest of us
I haven't seen anyone say that rows will win, so I will say it. At least at scrimmage level, row-bots will win. At Chatsworth scrimmage, the number one seed (and eventual winner) focused on rows in an unusual way. And, BTW, experience may not help.
This team, 1638, was a rookie. they won because they went for the row, then the points. 1 row = 3 tetras on top + 1 tetra on bottom pointwise, if the four tetras aren't already in a row (which adds more points). |
