wow, that guy can really scream. he could have a future in the hardcore metal community. unfortunately i don't think the music would go well with the game, nor would the majority of players like it. this is the kind of metal that is just for metalheads. it's too hardcore for most people. i think if we are going to have metal, it needs to be more neutralized metal, more widely appealing metal. for example, slipknot is death metal, but they dont always scream, in fact they even have some acoustic songs now - fairly soft ones.

hoobastank was mentioned at one point. they would be more in the range of music we are looking for. i went on their website but they dont have a thing to mail the band. you have to join their fanclub to contact them lol. well, i guess it's still a possibility...

yay slipknot!!! you mentioned my name lol... if we could get a copyright, MANY MANY of thier songs are radio friendly, and of course thier acoustic songs may even be TOO soft for the game... but my other friends band is punk.. im gonna call him up and see if i can record one of thier practices if they are still together...

vol. 3 would probably have something we can use, i'll listen to it again with this in mind. The Blister Exists might be good, but i'll have to listen to the cd again.

Re: [FVG]: Music

I found out that AFI can be contacted by mail. I was thinking that we could use "Paper Airplanes" and/or "Totalimmortal". (i tried to get links but some of the stuff only works in certain browsers and the links weren't working and my login was timing out and yeah...). anyway, what does everybody think about using these songs?

Re: [FVG]: Music

Maybe 237 could give us some advice with Hoobastank, I believe they got consent from them to use some of their songs, or something like that.

Re: [FVG]: Music

i've got a few songs i would be willing to donate to this project, for proper recognition of course. I'll have to put them up on a website later, so people could download them

The 2 i am thinking right off the top of my head would be good would be 2 of the 'triphop' mellow tracks, they are pretty sweet tracks. I've got some break beat stuff i've done too....
