I would help to have a better idea of what you are trying to do and what program you are trying to do it in. I think what you are looking for is a surface. A surface is infintely thin and can be any shape. A plane is a special kind of surface. Different kinds of surfaces are made different ways.

Try using splines to draw out a shape, and then apply an extrude modifier to it but leave the extrusion at 0. I think that will work.

Re: creating curved planes

rows advice was pretty good.. however if it has to be plane simply apply a edit plane modifier and then select all the vertexes of the plane now right click on a vertex and click "beizer Corner" now the plane will have a bunch of green squares... deselect the vertices... click a vertex click the green squares drag them and the plane will curve

Re: creating curved planes

What you could do is turn the plane into an editible poly, and then select the verticies(sp?) and then chamfer them, and if you want it smoother, then keep chamfering with lower values.

Re: creating curved planes

a really ghetto-mafied way to do it would to create a chamfer box and scale it to 0% and it will become a flat-rounded-edged rectangle plane.
