What's Under the 'Hood'

How fast of a processor is in the RC(In Mhz). I ask, because I need to know how far I can take my functions. My guess would be that it would have 5-6 mhz. Kinda ironic compared to a 3600 mhz of a pentium 4.

All this info is available at www.ifirobotics.com. The user processor (one of two in the RC), or the processor that you get to program runs at 40mhz and can do 10mips. If you want to estimate how fast you can run your code, there are some other numbers that will definitley matter, like how many instructions each operation takes.

The setup I presented in the above thread is a very feasible way of using a regular PC to do the processing, communicating/syncing with the RC/OI once per loop.

The rules are sketchy... I was trying to get a clarification.
