Exclamation HEATWAVE 312 NEEDS HELP

Long Post---Please read through end!
Heatwave Team 312 has recently completed its mobile scouting software. We have recently realized that in order for our software to be beneficial to every FIRST team we need to scout more then one regional. The option of watching every regional is not open to us therefore we request help from the great FIRST community.
We have two versions of software. A standalone Pocket PC version and a desktop version. The standalone version has the ability to sync with the desktop version and vice versa. This would allow teams to set up a network of mobile "scouts" to sync with one "master" scout. All the data collected will then have the ability to be processed and a full TPS, Team Performance Statement, report will be compiled on the team. We would like to have a TPS on every team at every regional and possibly nationals. I know this is a little late for some of the early regionals but we need everyones help to gather info.
The benefits to you include:
Multiple data samples on a single team means a "truer" report. Multiple data samples for a single team will be averaged out to balance extremes.
Web based veiwing from anywhere
portable, easy to use
the more teams scouted the less you have to scout
and many more.....
We are asking anyone who has Pocket PC to visit our website http://heatwave.cat.pinellas.k12.fl.us/ after 5p.m. Wednesday 3/2/05 to download all versions. Right now the only way to get the data to us is by emailing the file created by the program. But if enough teams get scouting we could have one of the most exstensive, most reliable databases on a team.
Usually I do not post unless I have a reason too, and I have full faith in this software and in the FIRST community that we can get this up and running and full of data before .
If you have any questions feel free to email me or check our website.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Heatwave PocketPC Scouting

We were concerned with getting the actual application made. We talked about making a Palm version (and there might be one next year) however, the mangaged code using Visual Studio and C# has just made it easier on us, and PalmOS does not give us this ability.

So unfortunately, no PalmOS Version.

Do your TPS Reports have cover sheets with them? Or did you not get that memo??

Anyways, this sounds awesome, I know I'll be breaking out my Pocket PC for this thing. Will there be a master computer from your team to sync with at the regionals you all are attending or do we need to set up our own? So teams only need to set up independent systems at regionals that you all aren't attending?

Re: Heatwave PocketPC Scouting

For right now, because of limited internet access and stuff at the regionals, all data will be collected on the PocketPCs then the access database will be sent to use, where we should have more details on how everything is going to work closer to the middle to end of next week.
