2005 BAE Granite State Regional Chairman's Award

-- top award of the competition and presented to a team that best represents FIRST and is a model for other teams to emulate – was awarded to Team 501, “The Power Knights” of Manchester West High School, Manchester, N.H., sponsored by FCI-Burndy.

This was our first time submitting!

When they came to the pits with the presentation review sheet we did not know how to interpret it....the section that referred to where to improve...said no recommendation!!!! We were crazy until they finally announced it.

...then as we proceeded to accept our award the Verizon Arena fire alarm went off...they say the time was exactly 5:01

Engineering Inspiration was 342, Burning Magnetos.

btw, the Engineering Inspiration award is apparently not related to the chairman's award submission even though the wording is similar and it sounds like second place. 342 did not compete for the Chairman's award at UCF.

Yeah, 57 won Inspiration at GLR and we didn't enter chairman's there. Though I'm kinda wishing we had.
