639 was very happy with this too and had to go down there to congratulate 1567 as they walked out of the awards line. One of our alumnus is helping East and was their coach at FLR. I saw video and pictures of their robot before ship date and was very impressed by its functionality. Great job!

It would have been really cool if both East and 1551 Napels ( and 1559 for that matter for thier two awards) could have gone to the championship because of their awards. Unfortuntely that is not the case.

Re: FLR Missing Award?

It really is too bad 1559 couldn't make it to Nationals. We tried so hard...I guess rookie teams can't go unless invited. True? Nonetheless we had a great time...I just wish I wasn't a senior

You could always mentor a team in college.
RIT mentors numerous teams.

Re: FLR Missing Award?

haha that's how it is with me, a senior on a rookie team, I was driver and it was a BLAST! we finished 7th overall, took the Radio Shack Innovation in Control , and Rookie Inspiration Award, we had a rookie team place 6th, so they got Highest Seed Rookie, and Rookie All Star, and depressingly the team that beat us in finals was the team that ended up winning it, I really think had we played the others we may have done better, anyways I plan on mentoring for my team this upcoming year, seeing how i'm going to an instate school
