Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

I believe the highest scoring match that was decided by only 1 point was a match with 217, 229, and 1370 (i forget their opponents) winning a very close 38-37 match. Congrats to all teams involved.

The highest score at VCU, the 98 shocked me. I saw tetra's EVERYWHERE. I forgot the other two teams besides 401.

345, 346 were 401's partners. Trust me, I had a bird's eye view of this "match"

I don't recall this match, and also know that we (229) never played on the same alliance as 217. However, in the second match of the semifinals: 1507,772,229 vs. 237,217,340 I believe there were 25 tetras scored total.(That is if I counted correctly) That averages 5 per team since 340 was a solely defensive robot, however it was not the only defense played in the match. Overall, it was an impressive match to watch.

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

I am the driver for 401 and we were part of the alliances that had the top 2 scoring matches at the VCU regional. Eventhough our 98-0 win with 345 and 346 was awesome, our opponents didn't have great stacking arms so they just tried to slow us down by getting in the way.

The second highest score at VCU was 76-15 which happened in the second round of the semifinals. 401 capped the far back left while 435 capped the center goal with 10 seconds left. Both robots and 122 sped across the field to get behind the line with 1 second left. We had 4 rows, 8 tetras capped, 2 tetras underneath, and the 10 point bonus for a total of 76. This round was against great opponents so I feel it was a better match than the 98-0.

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

Highest for Sacramento was 78, lowest was 2-0, our first match . We were also the alliance with 70 penalty points. Not our best start, but it turned out well.

Ah, man, my memory is eluding me. I am pretty sure it was a match with 1370 and either 217 or 229, and I am positive that it was 38-37. I'm not a whole idiot.... just half.

Re: 05 World Wide High Scores

245 and 766 had the first highest score in Sacramento, even though our team mate 100 was broken. We paired up in the finals (along with 1072) and were in the 70's the majority of the time, and tied our high score once.

90pts - 10pt penalty = 80 pts

I think it's a UTC high score?

Sort of. The 90 points is a high score for the regional, but since there was that penalty, it is only 80 pts. The highest score after penalties were counted was 87 points, by teams 228, 178, and 271. That was a very exciting match, especially since i was arm-driver for 228 . But we have yet to see what Saturday's matches will bring!
