9 more days....

and to all you people who think you have it bad, i believe i can top you all. not only am i taking two ap courses in my sophmore year (APWH and AP Bio), but the AP Bio test is on my birthday. yes, that's right. i don't get to sleep late, or goof off, i get to go into school, and pretty much horrible fail a test (well, that's how the AP's are designed). whoop-de-beeping-do! on the plus side, i think after the exam is over (it's a morning one), i think i can get my dad to take me down to the DMV, in the middle of the day, so the line *should* be shorter.

i guess the only good thing about my birthday being the day it is, my present is that after i take the test, i get to forget everything i learned, and literally dumb myself down for the regents (i hate NY!!).

oh well, 9 more days until freedom, and hopefully till i can get my learner's permit. from now until then though, will be pure hell.

gah! I walk away for 3 hours, and about 10 more people post...

What I meant is that people use the terms interchangibly. You don't hear someone saying, "I'm going to a university" that often - usually they say, "I'm going to college" - even if they are going to a university. Yeah, technically there's a difference, but not in the eyes of most people. Harrison made it sound as if there is a major difference in Canada, so I was just asking =D

Oh, and Ian, happy birthday in 9 days ;-)

I'm lucky beacuse I just have the easy APs (i.e. Science and similar). My APs: Calc BC, Chem, CS AB. And to studying - why study for something as easy as math or science? My evil tests are going to be tomorrow - French (okay, maybe not...) and American History...

Indiana AP

Indiana has AP classes...but one cool thing is that to get the college credits you dont need to take the AP test...

First off...this only applies if u go to a college in Indiana. There is a state college called Ivy Tech..and if you are in an AP class or a similar hard class (Pre-Calc, not AP)...they will give you college credits for that class as long as you fill out the necessary paper work...

Then if you go to a college in Indiana, for a really cheap fee they will transfer those credits from Ivy Tech to the college you are attending....basically making the AP test a waste of money and time here

Ohhh, I believe I can beat that, at least through my ordeals last year.

As I posted before, I had 4 AP tests, two of which were on the same day. The day before I had the two tests in the same day, I got into a car accident. It also happened to be the week of my campaigning for student body president...a very brutal, mudslinging and exhausting election in which I lost. It wasn't my birthday, but I did have to take my math final on my birthday. I think if I were on Knotting Hill, I would have won the brownie for the most pathetic story.

Well lucky for me I get AP English on Thursday morning, take the hour break or whatever it is and then take the AP Computer Science test. Thursday is half day at our school too so that means I'll be staying after just to take some test. But wait, it gets better... I'm in a magnet program and have to drive 40min each way just to get to and from school and on Friday we have off, except for those lucky individuals who are taking the AP American History exam like me in the morning. So to sum it up, on a half day, I get to stay after and take an AP test not forget to mention that I got two tests in one day. And then on Friday, my day off, I have to wake up early and drive to school just to torture myself with the AP American History test!! w00t!! I LUV SCHOOL!!

AP English

Hey, the exact same thing happened to me! I was all pacing myself thinking there were only 4 pieces and turned to the last page thinking I would use my minutes answering more questions about the same prose piece. Ohhh...how wrong I was when I saw a new sonnet, grrr! I liked the first and third essays though. I didn't do as well as usual but ok i guess, unlike on that devilish calculus test.
